how to view toolbar

I have a database here, that I did not create, but when
you first open it, it opens with a switchboard. on the
toolbar menu there is only 2 choices. I tried to right
click, so that i could get the option of customize
toolbar, so that I can see the menu bar that I need, but
when I right click it doesnt have customize toolbar. I
hit f11 and it took me to the tables, queries and all that,
but the menu bar. We are trying to convert a database to a
newer version and it is giving a message regarding
references. any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance,
Nyida

Try to launch the database while holding down the Shift
key (keep pressed until it opens). This by-passes all
start-up options selected, including macro or code
execution, start-up form load and toolbar / menu hiding,
and should get you to the database window strarght away.
Then you can change the start-up options form menu Tools >
Startup, if you wish.
