how to view word and pdf documents/access 2003 simultaneously

I use Word 2003 and Adobe Professional 8 in xp professional 3. I also have a
20" wide screen.

I would like to have a word document and pdf documents appear simultaneously
on the screen similar to Word's "side by side" , except the second document
would be a pdf document.

Same question, but the second document or viewing instead would be microsoft
access 2003. I frequently write Word letters extracting information from my
database. It's not worth creating a merge document.

You can have two applications open at once and tile them by right clicking
the windows task bar and selecting tile horizontally.
