how to watch slideshow

i would like to watch my slideshow without having it use the full computer
screen, so that i may work on other things. is there a way for the it to run
"on the side" of my screen??

In PowerPoint, open the PPT file. Click Slide Show tab, Set up show and in
the window that opens, click the radio button for Browsed by an individual
(window) then click OK. Save the PPT file and then start the show. It
should run in a resizable window now.

You can also start your slideshow clicking the right icon with Ctrl

Live and learn. Thanks for that trick. For those that don't understand
what Jean-Pierre wrote, it is hold down the Ctrl key while single clicking
the Slide Show button (the rightmost button of the group of three) on the
area below the file window (lower left on PPT 2003 or earlier and lower
right on PPT 2007.)
