HOW TO WORK OUT PERCENTAGE FROM COST PRICE AND PROFIT IN EXCEL2000 eg:
cost price 6.5, selling price 30.00, percentage = ????? Can somebody please
help?

Depends what % you want to work out:-

Fee % expressed as % of Total Cost = (Sell Price - Cost price) / Cost price
Profit % expressed as Return on Sale (ROS) = (Sell Price - Cost price) / Sell
price

In say cell A1 put Cost price
In say cell A2 put Sell price

In cell A3 put either:-

=(A2-A1)/A1 or =(A2-A1)/A2

depending on which you want

That's one hell of a markup though, assuming you really meant Cost = 6.5 and not
Profit = 6.5
