How to you paint and use different colors on word?

If I draw a triangle and then use lines and divide this triangle up into
sections....how would I paint each section a different color?

Word is *not* a vector drawing program - the tools you have are 'convenience
items' & are therefore quite limited in what they allow you to do. You're
better off to create the artwork with a program designed for the purpose,
then insert it into your doc.
