How toemove highlight on appointments when printing monthly calden

The appointments in my Monthly Calendar show up highlighted in Print Preview
and on the printed copy. The highlight is dark makingi the result difficult
to read. There is no highlighting in regular calendar view.
I have been through all of the Calendar Appearance Options and cannot remove
the highlight.
How do I get rid of it?
