How visually label contiguous cells?

I'm submitting a large worksheet to client, and would like to color code
contiguous rows, to show that these rows are of a similar nature. Is there a
way to highlight these rows with color? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

One way:

Select the rows you want to highlight (select the row header of the
first row, shift-click the row header of the last one).

Using the Formatting Palette, choose a color from the Color dropdown in
the Shading section of the Borders and Shading pane.

Thanks JE, dang I accidentally reposted this, cause did not see it got in.

Anyway, great info.

1) the color seems to obliterate the cell lines. Anyway to have a
translucent like color and keep the cell lines?

2) also, when I get color I like what is the easiest way to record a macro
of that color with a keystroke.

Thanks!
