How was the KB No of Microsoft ACCESS classified

If you mean "how were the numbers assigned", I think they're just
sequentially assigned as articles are written.

They've undergone a couple of changes of format, for instance dropping
the "Q" letter prefix; part of this occurred last Spring in connection
with internationalization of the knowledge base library.
