How well does Project handle issues list management?

I'm reviewing a few issue management/help desk softwares and am wondering if
I could simply handle the issues of a project using Project Server. Please
point me to a good place to review is cabilities.

I would not use Project Server as your help desk application. I have
run helpdesks and I have deployed Project Server and it would not be a
good fit. Like most things you could spend some time and money and
wedge it in there with some custom code but I would not do it if I were
you. There are too many good systems designed for just what you want to
force another sort of app to become what you want.

Sorry

Brian,

Actually what my MAIN needs are simply issue management. Most issues
attached to Project tasks, some not. A FAQ/repository for Self-Help desk and
general KB are secondary and a normal help desk is not really needed.

I'm currently evaluating "Standard Issue" and "Web+Center". I've been
thinking about installing ProjServer anyway for the collaboration and was
just hoping it'd handle my issues nicely too. One thing important to my issue
tracking is being able to follow the work. If an issue comes in, work gets
done, user tests and responds, someone else works on it, another test, etc. I
want all that history to be reportable.
