HPGL graphics import

C

Chris Smith

On my old IBM clone system I could bring a .hgl file/plot
into MS Word as a picture from my CAD/CAM computer and
print it to my HP Laserjet 4000. Now when I try this
with my new IBM Intellistation my print image comes out
too light. I have had some success adjusting the
brightness level of the picture but not always. I never
had to adjust on my old system.
Old system = AMD K7 700, OS Win 2K, Word 97.
New system = Intel Zeon 3.06, OS XP Pro, Word 97.
hpgl Filter is the same for both systems.
Any constructive information this forum can provide is
appreciated.
Kind regards,
Chris Smith

Hi Chris,

Same fonts and font download settings for
the same HP Laserjet 4000 printer?
Are you using HP or MS printer drivers?

The 'stroke weight' of the filter should
be the same but if you are using a higher
resolution or raster/vector setting in
your printer driver you may see the lines
as appearing 'lighter'.
