this is usually a problem with the mail server or an antivirus
email scanner.
I have the same problem, and in my case, this does not seem to be
the situation.
I have 2 systems, both running WIN XP Pro SP2 side-by-side. On sys
1, Outlook 2007 is my mail package. On this system, I have the HTML
coming in as plain text problem for 2 newsletters I receive
regularly.
On sys 2, Outlook Express 6 is my mail package. I have a different
email address for this system, but I subscribe to to he same 2
newsletters as on system 1. These come in as HTML and are displayed
as such.
From Sys 1, I have sent inquiries to these 2 newsletters asking if
they, by some chance, were sending plain text to the email address
on Sys 1, but their reply was that they don't send out plain text in
their newsletters.
Both systems come through the same email server, each system has the
exact same antivirus scanners (both with the same dictionary). At
my home network, I do not use firewalls at the individual system
level, but all firewall protection is done on a Netgear Prosafe
802.11G VPN Firewall router. I further have a Linksys WRT54G
Wireless router for the systems mentioned above. The firewall is
turned OFF in the WRT54G - it acts solely as a wireless access
point. I have a secure network (I believe, knock on wood), as I
have not ever been penetated.
I have tried all the suggestions I have found on the Outlook groups
on the microsoft.public seever. So what else should I look for?
At this oint, I think Outlook 2007 has out-smarted itself,
security-wise into non-functionality.
