HTML data only pastes in one column

Using Excel 10.1.6 I cannot paste date copied from the web without
losing the column format. All the data is pasted in the first column.
The trial version that came with my Intel iMac worked fine but 10.1.6
does not work properly on my new machine nor did it on my old G4 tower.

Thoughts?
