When I receive HTML email messages which contain an embedded bitmap image,
the original main message is converted to an attachment and the main message
when I open the email is just blank with one attachment (the actual main
message).
This only occurs at work for messages sent to me from outside our company.
I use Outlook 2000 to read the eamil, and we use some sort of exchange server
to handle the email for the company. The email is also scanned for viruses
at the server, goes through a firewall, etc. So it is possible it is
something other than Outlook or exchange server causing this.
This does not occur for embedded GIFs, JPGs, etc. Just bitmap images. I
wondered if anyone else had seen this and knew what caused it?
