I'm using XP, Outlook 2002 SP3 and about a week ago, became unable to click
on a HTML link in an Outlook email, and have the web page open. What
happened at first was that the My Documents would open; starting yesterday,
the installation program for Avantgo launches.
I've looked at the Outlook toolbar under tools/options, and can't find
anything that seems to be related to this issue, and I've also looked at the
IE Internet settings; likewise, I can't find any specific ref to this problem.
I regularly run SpyBot and Ad-Aware, as well as Spyware Blaster, Norton
Antivirus, and ZoneAlarm firewall, and so I am fairly confident I don't have
any viruses, trojans or other programs like that on the computer.
If anyone has any suggestions on what might be causing this and how to fix
it, I'd be most appreciative.
