Entourage 2008 does not support *creating* complex HTML messages.
Complex HTML includes things like tables, embedded hyperlinks, CSS, etc.

Entourage 2008 does support *displaying* complex HTML messages. It uses
the same engine that Safari uses.

Nothing is broken in Entourage. This is simply how it is designed to work.

If you need to create and send complex HTML messages then you can
compose them in Word and use its File --> Send To --> Mail Recipient (As
HTML)... feature.

Could your coders think about providing the same ease of use and power Windows Outlook users have- ie: users can just copy whatever elements of Excel workbooks or word tables & graphics they want. Copy & paste. It just works ... in outlook.

Thanks!

You can try Paste as Special, but Entourage has limited abilities to show.
You are better off sending as attachments.

Copy in Excel and then use "Paste Special:paste as Picture" in Entourage.

Sorry that Entourage is not Outlook. Some users use Bootcamp to launch
Outlook on their Macs.

You're confusing the Mactopia forums with communications with Microsoft.
They're not. And you're confusing those of us who voluntarily help folks
here with Microsoft employees. We're not.

Microsoft has added to their website a web portal, which you're using,
that connects to the Usenet newsgroups. They do not own nor maintain the
newsgroups and they don't regularly participate in them.

You can send feedback to Microsoft by using the Help --> Send Feedback
mechanism in any Office application.

Hope this helps!

Of course I'm confused. It's a state of being. Thanks for the heads up and thanks for being so gracious about it. I've just leaped into the Office for Mac side of the equation and am flailing about. Thanks again to you and to Diane.

If you use a newsreader rather than the Mactopia interface to this newsgroup
you can download old messages and search for answers. If you are not
familiar with a newsreader, Entourage's basic newsreader already has the
Microsoft News server included. All you do is subscribe to the newsgroups
you want. See this page for help:
