I want the ability to have a real HTML signature. I know that you can create nice signatures in the Signature Editor and then Entourage creates the HTML for you. But what if I have the html code that I want to use for my signature? My company has a standard signature and I cannot use it because it is supplied as html. The huge benefit to this is that images are not attachments, they are sourced from the internet.

With Mail.app, I am able to create a dummy signature in the GUI. Then I can modify the file directly on the file system with the HTML code that I want. I am unable to edit the signature in Mail.app but that is fine. Why can't I do this with Entourage. I know that the signatures are stored in the Signatures files. However, I cannot seem to access this file/archive in order to modify the signature directly.

Has anyone figured this out?

Select the image Copy and paste it into the signature box.. The dialog box
looks like it is text only but it can handles images as well just cut and
paste

Sadly, this is not what I want to do. Yes this will copy and paste everything. However, it will also copy the images. I require that the images not be stored in the signature itself. I need them referenced off the web.

Cheers

I read this page before I created this post. It still does not solve my issue. I don't just want to create a hyperlink. I want to use complex HTML and this pages says that it is not possible. Here is some sample HTML code that I would like to insert into my signature:

<a href="http://www.pepperweed.com <http://www.pepperweed.com>" target=_blank style="text-decoration:none"><img
width="34" height="12" border="0" alt="" src="http://web.me.com/joeworkman/pw-images/pw-swoosh.png <http://web.me.com/joeworkman/pw-images/pw-swoosh.png>">&nbsp;
<span class="style1"><span style="color:#A0A0A0;"> <strong>Pepperweed Consulting</strong>, <span style="font-size:9pt;">LLC</span></span>
</a>

Did you try the templates link?

Create a new signature from a template
Open the folder that was created when the name of theme.bin file was
expanded.
Double-click the signature template file that you want to use.
A message that contains the signature opens.
Click the message body, and then, on the Edit menu, click Select All.
On the Edit menu, click Copy, and then close the message.
On the Tools menu in Entourage, click Signatures.
Click New.
Type a name for the signature.
On the Format menu, make sure that there is a check mark next to HTML.
If there is not, the signature is in plain-text format. In that case, click
HTML to change the signature to HTML format.
Click the body of the signature, and then, on the Edit menu, click Select
All.
On the Edit menu, click Paste.
Now you can customize the signature by typing over the name, title, and
other text with your own information. When you are finished, close and save
the signature. To learn how to add the signature to a message, search for
insert signature in Entourage Help.
