HTML Signatures in Entourage 2004

Running Entourage 2004 on G4, my email signature is an HTML file, which
calls some gifs as the logo part of the signature is animated. However
under the signatures option, I cannot select HTML files.

Is this a limitation of Entourage or is there a way around this?

That's a limitation of Entourage signatures. You could drag a GIF into the
signature window, but I don't know if it will animate on the receiving end.

Another option would be to compose your messages in Word and then send them
as mail messages (File > Send To > Mail Recipient (as HTML)), but that is a
lot of work for just a signature.
