HTML template and web reports

Hi all
I need to send a task-based weekly report from my project and would like to generate it directly from the project, instead of spending an hour copying and pasting into a word document every Friday. Saving as web page seems promising. I could then e-mail the page to the concerned parties. I would put Achievements, Issues and Next Actions in the task note and include it in the web page, together with progress, end date, actual end date etc. This almost works. The problem is that the task note is truncated, either at the first line break or after a certain number of characters. I've tried everything I could find to format this so that I would get the whole note text in the table, but to no avail. The HTML templates don't help, the truncation seems to happen somewhere in the code - I've noticed that notes are also truncated if you insert them as a column in a view

If I got around this problem there would still be the problem of having to update notes every week. The old weekly reports would then be lost. There seems to be no way to create a note for a certain period of time

On thing I could do would be to generate a web page and then cut and past the weekly issues etc into the HTML table, but this seems to defeat the purpose, and isn't much of an improvement

I'm using Project 2000. Can you do these kinds of reports in newer versions

Really grateful if anyone can help me with information on this.

Hi Sten
You may want to consider using a text field for your notes. It would take a little time to convert, but I think this would do what you want
