Html to UNC paths. Is it conversion

Linking html documents to UNC path. specifically, How do I go froma a web
page to a network printer. I get an error that says "could not find a web
server on (my server name) port 80."

You link to the printers public IP address.
For an Intranet you can link to the local IP.
