https not working in Project 2003 Pro

I was recently tasked with changing over to ssl only on our production
Project Server. I was issued a cert, and I was able to switch to :443
instead of :80 no problem for PWA. When i try to make the switch to
https in Project 2003 Pro, I get the following error:

Project Server Error

The server returned an error while processing your request. The error
could be caused by one of the following:
- The URL provided is not valid, or is not a project server.
- Internet Explorer is set to work offline.
- The server could not process your request.
- An internal server error occured

Contact your server administrator
