Using Outlook XP 2002 with message tracking options set to notify me of
emails i've sent that are read.
Yesturday had several hundred emails with the
subject: "Not read: Subject"
& body of the email "your message
to: fist lastname subject: ........
sent: 01/04/2005
was deleted without being read on 09/05/2007.

All these notification in a lot of cases are several years old and wonder
after all this time a whole load arrive all at once yesturday?

It sounds like an issue outside the scope of Outlook unless they were residing

headers to see what has happened.

I got that kind of email (from my boss) every now and then but not in the

old. It turns out that my boss never reads his email (I've seen his
mailbox - thousands of unread mail sits there). He cleans his mailbox when
it hits the limit. That's when I receive "Not read:" email from him
