HUP Slipstreaming

Just received and installed Office 2003 pro via HUP scheme. Immediately had
to download a large amount of updates - SP2 office and latest outlook junk
email stuff. I then thought, why not download the whole kit & kaboodle and
slip stream it all to obviate this sort of stuffing around in the future.
Blow me down, I cannot perform this wonderful process as I have a HUP
version; which I only ordered last week and received today (1 Nov 2005). As
to why the supposedly just burned HUP version is so far behind the update
schedule is beyond my "ken" to apply logic. Anyway, is there a methodology
(as the /a swtich does not work) to get this CD redone with SP2 etc. Although
the software has been bought under the HUP scheme (more power to MS & this
scheme), I truely believe that one should be able to slipstream updates to
obviate the necessity to download these again (assuming a reformat, new
drive, etc).

Hi Don,

The distribution of Office 2003 Home Use Program product is something that you'd want to take up with the company administrator.
It's a feature offered on some Enterprise volume license companies. Some companies do create a tailored CD to fit the work needs,
others do not and the installation process and updating is, at that point, similar to a retail copy install. Office has not
included 'slipstreamed' updates in the product CDs since the Office 2000 edition.
