Hybrid bar chart needed?

Hello. I would like to create a combination stacked/adjacent bar chart.
I have an 8x8 array with text entries in the first column and data
in the other seven columns. Some of the first column text entries are
the same (a simple example:A,A,B,B,C,C,D,D). I would like to
plot each row of data such that the stacked bars for each A entry are
grouped
together, over only a single A category value. So I would end up with
only
four x-axis category positions (A,B,C,D). Can this be done or is there a
better
way to approach this? Thanks!
