Hypens

I have a legal document that requires dashes as two hyphens --, and I cannot
use a formatted en dash instead. I have unchecked the en dash conversion in
"auto format" and "auto format as you type," but every now and then Word
still converts my double hyphen to an en dash, and I can't fix it. Any
ideas? A quick response would be appreciated as I have a document due today.

Maybe you have an AutoCorrect entry that changes -- to — ?

Or when Word converts your double-hyphen to an en-dash, you
should be able to undo it by pressing Alt+Backspace or by
clicking on the Undo button on the Standard toolbar.
