Hyperlilnk Hover Buttons and Number of Mouse Clicks to Open

On my web page that I created using Front Page 2000, it requires 2 mouse
clicks to activate the hover buttons (hyperlinks). How do I change this to
require only 1 mouse click.

That's because hover buttons use Java Virtual Machine Applets, ( not to be confused with
JavaScript.)
It requires one click to activate the applet and then another click to launch the link.

JVM is no longer automatically installed, and requires users to download and install it
from Sun Java.

For this reason, nobody uses Hover buttons anymore.
