Hyperlink as plain text

How do you paste or convert a hyperlink to plain text?

When I paste a hyperlink, and click on the little clipboard icon to the
lower right of the hyperlink, and select "keep text only", nothing happens -
it stays a hyperlink.

Right-click on the hyperlink, and select "remove hyperlink" = meaningless.
It stays a hyperlink, so what is this supposed to be for?

This is a simple operation in Word; in OneNote, it's either non-existent or
done in an entirely different way?

We may have to make this a suggestion for futher releases. Here is what I
found in the HELP file:

"If the hyperlink you want to remove was created by typing its URL directly
in your notes (for example, http://www.microsoft.com), it will not have
friendly text associated with the link and the Remove Hyperlink command will
be unavailable. If you frequently need to remove hyperlinks, be sure to
create them using the Hyperlink command on the Insert menu"

In addition, I can't find a way to add a hyperlink address WITHOUT
converting it to a hyperlink.
