Hyperlink Colors

I am using FP2000. How do I control the color of the hyperlinks. I do not
want them to change to blue nor change after being viewed.

Thanks

Hi Bgreer5050,

Although I use FP 2003, I also had a difficult time figuring out how to
set the navigation bar properties on my index.htm page's
link/navigation bar. I'm not sure if that's also what you're dealing
with (the navigation bar), but if so, here's what I did that worked for
me.

I right-clicked on my navigation bar and selected "Page Properties".
When the "page properties" dialogue box came up, I clicked on the tab
called "Formatting". Here I was able to choose the default colours of
my hyperlinks, including what colours they would then appear once they
were 'visited' or 'clicked'.

For example, my hyperlinks are maroon and once clicked, they become
dark grey. I don't have any bright blue hyperlinks on my site, because
that colour scheme didn't quite go with the overall theme of my site.

I guess it depends on what type of hyperlinks you are working with,
because I've had to deal differently with hyperlinks on my
link/navigation bar, as opposed to the hyperlinks I've inserted into
individual layers or text boxes on different pages.

I hope that soon a FrontPage expert will be along to help you. I'm
sorry that I have a different version and am not quite sure how version
2003 differs from version 2000.

I wish you the best of luck with this!

page properties is where you can set the default hyperlink colors
but if you use a theme or css it will override those choices
you have to change them there as well
if you are making custom interactive buttons there is also a dialog box
where you can select colors for your rollovers, etc.
