Hyperlink doesn't work

I enrolled in a class at a university and we have online lecture slides
with hyperlinks to other documents on the web to be read.

When I enter into slideshow mode and hover over a link, the typical
white gloved finger appears indicating a hyperlink. However, when I
click on it....nothing.

When I go into slide view and try to edit the hyperlink, there IS no
hyperlink.

The STRANGE part ....... is when I view the exact same presentation on
a PC, everything works just fine!

I can't find anything on the web about this. Can someone help me out???

Hi,

This is a known problem. It happens if you install the latest office
update.

Yea. I know. Updates are supposed fix things, not break them. But it
happens sometimes, and it happened this time.

The solution is to uninstall Office 2004 using the uninstall utility in
the Office folder. Then reinstall from the disc. Don't do the updates.
