Hyperlink field on form not working after DB convert

I have one user who is not able to use the hyperlink insert from menu to
browse and locate a file name (sample.xls) to insert into a form record.
Previously he had no problem. Now he has to type in the file name in record
field. He is using an MDE. The only change was I converted the BE and FE
from Access 2000 to Access 2003 and his Access program is now Access 2003.
Another user has no problem. Any idea what is causing this?

I'm also thinking his link won't work because he needs to type in the whole
path.
