Hyperlink from Data Access Page to WordPerfect document

I have created a database containing file directory information including
file name and path which I use to create a hyperlink to the actual document.

This link works fine from the tables and forms - but when it is included in
a Data Access Page - the link tries to open the document - but can't.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so - is this problem solvable?

Specifics: Access 2003, Windows XP, WordPerfect 9 file
