Hyperlink from Visio to PDF file does not work.

I had to make it a jpg file and store it in a PowerPoint slide in order for
Visio to hyperlink to it and display the PDF file (Adobe Acrobat
application). Can someone tell me if they've had success and what I might be
doing wrong to hyperlink directly to the PDF file?

Thank you.

what is the pdf file type associated with on the system you are using?
hyperlinking to a ppt file obviously opens the powerpoint application so
that you can view the image stored inside. sounds like an adobe addon issue.
