Hyperlink generates "no program registered"

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Spreadsheet has hyperlinks to wpd files. Clicking on hyperlink generates
"no program registered" error.

Have changed the extension on both the actual file and the hyperlink to doc,
but no resolution. Opening the document directly works, just not using the
hyperlink.

Any suggestions?
