Hyperlink in footer

Jay

I've added a hyperlink in the footer of a word document,
but the the hyperlink does not work when clicking on it.

It kind of makes sense that it doesn't, being that it's in
the footer, but just wondering if this is by design and if
there is a workaround?

Thanks,
Jay

It is by design. I don't know of any work-around.

You could put the hyperlink in a text box formatted to have text wrap around
it and manually insert that text box on each page (possibly using AutoText
as an intermediary). Not much of a work-around.

See the MVP FAQ: <URL: http://www.mvps.org/word/> which is awesome!
