Hyperlink in Word to Network Folder

I link from a Word document to a PDF file on a network drive. The link works
just fine but when the folder opens, it does not default to show "All
Files(*.*) Does anyone know how to change the default?

We can't offer much without knowing what version of Word & what OS you're
running it on... That can make a big difference. From the source of your
message & the syntax of its content, however, I get the impression that
you're using one of the Windows versions but you've posted to the Mac Word
group. If I'm right you'll find a listing of the PC Office groups here:
