We have an issue here with clicking hyperlinks on a word document in Word
2002 SP3.
When clicking on the hyperlink (which links to another word document), the
windows security warning message comes up:
Some files can contain viruses or otherwise be harmful to your computer. It
is important to be certain that this file is from a trustworthy source.
After clicking on OK, Word just times out (hourglass) and you can't do
anything else other than ending the winword.exe process.
However, when right clicking on the hyperlink, then selecting "Open
Hyperlink", the hyperlinked document opens up fine.
So in summary:
- CTRL-Click or directly clicking (by turning off the CTRL-Click feature) on
the hyperlink = Word shows up the warning message, click OK then fails
- Right clicking then selecting "Open Hyperlink" = same hyperlink opens up
fine
Still the same issue with a new normal.dot
Still the same issue with anti-virus turned off
Still the same issue with a different user/profile
Can someone please shed some light on this issue??
