Hyperlink Issue - "Use relative path for hyperlink"

I have built a drawing that contains links to an intranet site at my company. The website’s main or default page has text & combo boxes that allow users to do searches. My URLs contain the information necessary to go through the search page to access another page that has the needed information on it. There is no way to do this

When I activate the URLs (from both my Visio client and when the .vsd is saved as HTML), the search page opens, thus ignoring my search criteria. I have tried removing the check in the "Use relative path for hyperlink" checkbox to create an absolute address, however, after I close the hyperlinks window, the check reappears in the box

Looking in the ShapeSheet of the objects that hold the URLs, the Address field has the server path, the SubAddress has “â€, and ExtraInfo has the search criteria. I can manually edit the Address to include the search criteria, but this will be a large pain since there are roughly 100 of these links throughout my 70-page drawing (I know, huge drawing, very little choice)

Are there any solutions to this problem? I will need to create more links in another drawing using the same technique and I’ll need to teach a mainframer how to do it. I’ve got to keep it simple for her and this problem is a snag I’ve got to get rid of

Thanks

I have Visio 2002, SR2. Also, I think it's a similar problem to the entry "Re: Hyperlinking a shape & saving the drawing as a Web page." My URLs have a server path, then a ?, followed by the search criteria. I'll try SP2

If you don't have the newly-released SP2 for Visio 2002, here is a
workaround: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;299175
