Hyperlink limits?

Does anyone know whey I can no longer create hyperlinks within a workbook
(all linking internally to other sheets)? I have already created a number,
but now Excel won't let me create any more - is there a limit? Using Mac
OfficeX

Hi

I vaguely remember that there is a limit, but I can not remember the
criteria. It was more complicated than simply X-number of links. I think it
had to do with the the number and the length of the URL character strings.

Sorry to be so vague, but no one seemed to want to take a stab at this one.
