hyperlink mouse pointer does not chage to hand on form

How can I get the mouse pointer to change to a hand
pointing on a form that filters a record set based upon a
field with a datatype of decimal. It works fine on forms
that the hyperlinked field is a text value, but not on a
field that is a number (or date/time) value.

Also, it does "jump" to the appropriate record - they
hyperlink works - when the user clicks but the lack of
the mouse pointer changing to a hand pointing confuses
some users.

any suggestions or work arounds?
