I have an Access 2000 Database with info on the videos on my computer. On an
Access form I have a button with a hyperlink to the video file. On my old XP
computer it worked just fine. I'd "push" the button and the video would play
(on Windows Media Player). Now I have a new computer -- unfortunately with
Vista -- and I'm using VLC media player.
Although the path is correct, now when I "push" the button I get a message:
"Unable to open...path/filename. No program is registered to open this
file."
In control panel under "Set Associations" VLC media player is the "Current
Default" for all video files and they play just fine on VLC if I double
click on the file name in Windows Explorer. Anyone have any ideas how to
make this work?
