Hyperlink not being place correctly on HTM page. Visio 2003 Pro S

help!

Hi,

I am having an strange problem. I am using Visio 2003 Pro SP2. When I
publish the Visio drawing to HTM, the links sometimes show up in the wrong
place. It doesn't happen on my machine, which is running IE 7.0 release 2,
and firefox.

However, when some users look at it in a older version of IE, the links show
up in the wrong place. For example a link to another supervisors group, will
be two inches below the shape. It doesn't show up this way in my IE 7,
however some version of IE 6 are a mess. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hmm. The default settings for the Visio export to web deliver a vector
format called VML to IE browsers. I wonder if the older versions are having
problems with this? Non-IE browsers just get standard bitmap images, and a
much simpler web page.

If you click the Publish... button in the Save As Web diagram, you can
remove the whole "vml" thing from your export - so your web pages will only
use bitmaps, and not the fancy vml stuff. Perhaps this might help. It's just
a guess, though.

Thanks for the follow up. What percisely is the VML. I am going to try
different publishing options.
