I have created an autoreply rule in Outlook 2003, via "Have server
reply using a specific message." As usual for an Outlook rule,
clicking on the "specific message" hyperlink opens a message draft
window. However, this specific message window appears to handle
hyperlinks differently than a typical Outlook new message window.
I create a hyperlink in the rule's specific message window by typing
"website," then selecting "website" and inserting the actual hyperlink
target; "website" is now in blue and underlined like a normal
hyperlink. However, recipients of this autoreply email receive
something different; the hyperlink appears as "website
<http://www.website.com>." The word "website" is not hyperlinked,
instead the full text of the hyperlink (the real URL is long and ugly)
is placed after it. This only happens when creating a rule; this
problem does not show up for emails created outside of Outlook's rule
creation.
Any thoughts?
