HYPERLINK PROBLEM WITH WORD

I have Microsoft Office for MAC 2008

When I open a document, links come up {www.website.com HYPERLINK }

In addition, inserting page numbers does not work. Instead it comes up {
PAGE }

Please help.

The Mac doesn't have an ALT key - there is a duplicate thread in

Yes, I saw that. IMO, anyone using a Mac should either (a) understand what
keys are equivalent to Windows keys or (b) post in the Mac-specific NGs.

That might be reasonable if the newsgroups had a sign over the front door,
"Windows only -- abandon hope all ye Macs who enter here". But the group
name just says "Word". And depending on how one gets here, it may not be
clear, or even visible, that there are any Mac groups.
