An online "Office Equipment Guide" gives network users the boiled down basics
of our printer, scanner, phone system, etc. When a user needs further
information, I've attempted to insert hyperlinks to the appropriate manual.
Testing the hyperlink, they all worked correctly, however, after unloading
and reloading the document, they were all broken. Further investigation
showed that the path to the document is being changed.
The documents are all on a partition named "Shared Data" on our server named
"Diamond". This partition is also called K:. When I first insert the
hyperlink, the hyperlink address shows as:
K:\BF\HowTo\filename
After using the hyperlink once, but before saving the document, it displays
as:
\\DIAMOND\SHARED_DATA\BF\HowTo\filename
After saving, it appears as below, and no longer works:
.../../../SHARED_DATA/BF/HowTo/filename
Can anyone tell me what's going on and how to correct it?
Thank you.
