HYPERLINK table element to FOLLOWHYPERLINK?

Help , does anybody have a string stripper to convert a hyperlink element in
a table from "xxxxx.com#http://xxxx.com#" to "http://xxxx.com" for the
Application.FollowHyperlink string ,, True command. ?

FollowHyperlink seems to default to a file access search without stripping.
