Hyperlink to a word document

Hi,

I would like to make a hyperlink from a shape in visio to a specific page or
heading in a word document.

I found out that I can browse for the document, and add # and a part of the
text in the document to the file name. It will than find the first page that
have exactly the text that you added to the file name. (ex: P:\Prosesser og
Rutiner\Kartlegging#huskeliste -if I want Visio to link to
"huskeliste" in the word document)

But if you add # and the heading you want it to find, it will find this
heading in the "table of content" instead of the exact heading on the
relevant page. - It always find the first emergence of the phrase you've
added.

It you try to add the page number (#5) it will look for this number in the
body text, and not in the footer.

Is it someone that can help me?

Kind Regards
Marit

Hi,

Thanks for you quick response. Could you please just explain these a bit
more in detail for me?

The “sub address†field is inactive when making a hyperlink to a word
document (It seems like it’s only active when making a hyperlink to another
Visio document).
But If I make bookmarks in the Word document to each heading, I can add: #
and the name of the bookmark in the end of the "address†field. Then it will
find the right heading. (I then have a job of making bookmarks to all the
headings in the word documents, - but that's ok)
