hyperlink to an email

Is there a way to create a hyperlink in OneNote to an e-mail message in
outlook?

I don't want to copy the e-mail or print it into OneNote -- I'd like the
e-mail to stay in Outlook, but just open up when I click on a link to it on a
page in ON.

The unfortunate thing is, yeah there is but I don't think Outlook exposes it
in any way. Outlook registers a URL handler for outlook:// and I think if
you do outlook://entryid (where entryid is the PR_ENTRY_ID property of the
message) then it will open that item. But I'm not sure how you'd get to that
property without code.

I am using ON 2007 (I didn't think 2003 even had hyperlinks).

Unfortunately "Send to OneNote" does not include a hyperlink from an e-mail
(as it does from the web). The attached link is on point but the limitation
that the link has to change if the e-mail is moved from the exchange server
to a local folder is quite a limitation.

You can't hyperlink into OneNote 2003 but you can hyperlink OUT of it - and
since you wanted to link to Outlook objects...

I think that'll be true of any solution - if the "path" to the item changes
because it's moved then the link would necessarily have to change.
