We have an application that creates a word document that
contains hyperlink references. Up until mid-May this
year, these hyperlinks worked fine. After that point, the
hyperlinks do not function correctly, but only if Netscape
is the default browser. The same hyperlink functions
correctly from Outlook. It appears that an extraneous lf
is being added to the file extension - the error we get
from Netscape indicates an unknown mime type:
application/x-unknown-content-type-cfmlf
The version of Word is 9.0.3821 SR-1 and the version of
Netscape is 4.77.
This problem also occurs in powerpoint and excel.
On another machine with Word 9.0.6926 SP-3 and Netscape
7.02, I do not have this problem.
Does anyone know whether this is a bug in a specific
version (so that I could upgrade past that bug) or some
other configuration/setting problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
