Hyperlink to EMail client

D

Dr. DuMont

I have a "mailto:" hyperlink established on an Excel
sheet. I would like to automatically attach the current
sheet to the Email (when using Outlook as the mail
client). Now, I have to manually insert thefilename as an
attachment. Is there a way to automate this so that when
the Email hyperlink is called, the current spreadsheet is
attahed?
Thanks in advance,

I want to do almost the same thing, except I don't want to attach th
file, but instead insert a hyperlink to the current excel file in th
body of the email.
The idea is; I create a document from a template and want to emai
users on my LAN a link to the new document

Hmmm... Can you put a hyperlink in the subject line? Or at
the very least, you could type the filename in the subject
line passed from the hyperlink. Don't know if you could
automate that, though.

Still looking for a solution to my other question, but am
beginning to think that this would not work with mail
clients other than Outhouse.
