Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel
You can save MS Word 2008 (docx) documents as PDFs. From the Finder they will open in Adobe Reader or Preview (whichever you have set to handle the PDF type).
But ... if you open from an Excel hyperlink, Excel somehow "sees" that the original content creator was Word, so it tries to open with Word.
Dumb. Please fix.
Note: This only applies to PDFs created as "Save As..." from Word. Other PDFs (from other apps) open normal in Adobe Reader when hyperlinked in Excel.
