This may be a WinOS problem but it seems to be also something in Word (97 -
2002). I want to hyperlink to a TIF *file* in Word but it does nothing when
I click on the hyperlink. One of 3 machines does open it in Windows Picture
and Fax Viewer, but 2 other WinXP machines either start MGI Photosuite
(without opening the file) or do nothing.
I have tried all the Win Explorer tools to change the Open With -> Choose
Program -> Windows Picture and Fax Viewer -> Always use selected program. I
have uninstalled MGI Photosuite (that came with Pagis Pro 2) but still
Winword hyperlink will not open the TIF file in a viewer. The strange thing
is that one machine will open a click on a TIF file in Win Explorer with
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer but the hyperlink to the same TIF file will
start Photosuite. For now I am only hyperlinking to the folder that
contains the TIF files but I would like to open the TIF file to view at a
click.
Is this perhaps a registry problem that I can fix?
